Welcome to Monticello Inn & Cottage, a boutique eco-friendly bed and breakfast nestled in the foothills of Charlottesville, VA. Our charming inn offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, where guests can relax and unwind in a serene environment. We are dedicated to providing a memorable and sustainable experience for all our visitors, ensuring a blend of comfort and eco-conscious sustainable hospitality. We hope to open our doors to guest in 2025. We are currently under construction.
History
Monticello Inn and Cottage is located in the former Slate Hill Meeting House which was built in the 1830’s. In 1868, the meeting house was deeded to the Slate Hill Baptist Church which was an active congregation up until 2017. At that time, the building became vacant and was in need of repair. We decided to purchase the property and restore the former to church to have a new life and allow guests to enjoy this elegant historic building and grounds.
